Skoda A7 1600 issue with trip information

Featured Replies

I have recently bought a new Skoda Octavia A7, 1600cc. The dealer in Egypt has literally stripped the new basic edition for Egypt of lots of features but the one that I cannot imagine to have disappeared (unless there is another way to display it) is the trip information, fuel consumption, remaining amount sufficient for how much distance. This feature used to be in my former A4 model 1999 (up and down button in the right wipers handle). I only have the 0.0/Set button in the dashboard.

Any idea how to deal with that to display the info?

Have you tried using the button in the  left stalk?...  I accidentally  pressed mine some other day and found-out it changed the info  on the display...

Give it a try... ;)

Good luck! :)

Thanks Siman. You mean the cruise control up/down buttons, I've tried that but unfortunately it's not working :(

I think he means the buttons on the other stalk unless the Octavia III differs from previous models for accessing basic trip information.

No I really meant the lights stalk on the left of the steering wheel where mine (with adaptive cruise) has the button... since the ACC has it's own stalk...

So, tamersalah, in your case you should be able to control the info screen with the button(s)  on the wipers stalk...  I'll hava a look at what owner manual says...

Thanks Siman, You are right but unfortunately, the wipers stalk does not have these buttons, they have been removed from the starter kit (Active) while in the higher categories, it is there

A "simply Stupid" way to shave price...

Or a "simply clever" way to persuade people to spend more on higher spec models...
