AC not working

Featured Replies

Hey guys. My AC is not working. Light is coming on when pressed but it's not cold. No difference in temp to the normal cold air through blowers. Car is 3 years old end of the year. Not sure if it just needs an AC service or is it worth taking to Skoda dealers to have a look out. Just worried that there could be a problem with the actual unit in which case, might it be covered under warranty?

Not sure how often a service is required on them? I have seen people talking about AC on here before but did a search and couldn't really find anything. Appreciate any advice. Cheers guys.

The system is likely out of gas - the question is why. It's possible the condensor (like a radiator) could be damaged, for example by a stone or whatever, in which case you'll need to pay for a new one (or live without it), but equally the compressor could have failed or a leak crept in elsewhere in the system, in which case it'll be a warantee job.

Thanks mate. Think I'll take it to place so they can test it. Hopefully it just needs gassing. I have heard that if it's stone damaged it's a very expensive replacement :-(
