Featured Replies

Hi im Paul from Milton Keynes i actually bought my car 2 weeks ago and love every second of driving it. Here are the details

2001 octavia Vrs

142000 miles

in the last 3 months receipts for the following

cambelt, water pump, auxillary belt all changed

full adjustable coilovers fitted plus polybush dog mount

(Think thats what it was called)

forge diverter valve with yellow spring

Remapped with top spec plugs fitted

Year mot

paid £1200 which is probably alot with the miles but never drove a car that feels like new with smooth gears and driveability.

Only faults are front passenger door and rear driverside door wont lock or unlock but going to change both motors.

going to also change wishbone bushes for polybushes

Welcome to Briskoda. I am not surprised that you are enjoying driving a 1.8T which has been remapped! :)

How come your car passed an MOT recently with 2 doors which won't unlock?

Hi Paul - Welcome to the forum!

Hi guys..... Oh and it' red

they do open you just have to do it by pulling the interior handle so i assume they were unlocked for the mot plus are tempermental and work on occasion so might of had a good day lol.... im just hoping changing the mechanism will fix the problem.... the car just pulls in every gear especiall in 5th on motorway so much more torque and power than my previous car which is suprising as it was a 2.3T 250BHP.

Skoda is truelly a lovely car to drive and a lovely engine.... what mods can you guys reccomend on a budget???
