totaly standard vrs tsi cthe engine. the recirculating air sound at gear change is quite loud. i even thought there was a dump valve fitted. this normal... if so dont understand why someone would fit an aftermarket one as this has turned heads off the sound. power is fine and dont suspect a boost leak

Are you listening to the Supercharger with the window open?

 

It is quite a lot noisier from outside than many drivers inside driving realise, i think.

Obviously better if the car is actually being pushed along with a bit of welly.

(ie, In Going for it Mode, rather than just pottering along not drawing attention to yourself)

 

What i like,

is that when you hear a twincharger taking off, is it is actually moving away quite fast, and picking up speed,

unlike some other cars that have alll the noise of acceleration, turbo, dump valve,  and they have not gone very far, or done it very fast.

I love the supercharger sound. Setting off briskly from a standstill, you can hear the whine clearly before the revs rise too high and the engine/road noise drown it out.

Sounds like a good old American muscle car for exactly 1 second!

I do love my engine.

Mine sounds the same in my Cupra it's normal, it's the recirc valve.
