I am knew to Skoda and it is ages I do not do any repairs or tuning to 'any' car - too busy!

I recently had the anual service and I have noticed that the revs (RPM) went down to around 700/800 as opposed to the usual 900/1000, as I prefer.

They must have tuned to low as it was fine before the service - do not know how to open the top plastic engine cover - I believe it is under there!

I used to do everything myself with my old cars (FIAT cinquecento, then Renault 5, etc. and then Lancia Delta 1.6), when I was alad with more free time!!

Know where the adj is? It only requires a 1/2 or 1 turn right to be at 900/1000 rpm.

Do not have the time to book with our Garage and have it done for free, I prefer to do it.

I believe (and I could very well be wrong!) that the idle speed is controlled in the ECU so you'll need to adjust it in there using something like VAG-COM......

OK, that means back to the dealer then! :(

There is somebody selling the program somewhere in US and it is $ 900 !!
