2.0L turbo mods and LED questions?

Featured Replies

Looking at getting a 2.0 turbo VRS and thinking about doing a few mods.

K and N panel filter

dump vavle

iridium spark plugs

anything else people can think of that wont break the bank?

Also what LEDs do i need to for side lights, number plate lights and head light HID kit?

Any help or advice for a noob would be great :)

Hi mate,

Welcome along. Which vRS do you have? I think the TFSI engine went up to 09 and the TSI engine to 2013

Well I don't have one at the min!

Finding the right ones hard

Looking at like 57reg ones...

If that's any help :(

That'd have a TSFI engine like mine. If I'm being honest I'd leave the panel filter and dump valve. Neither will do anything for how the car drives.

Uprate the DV to the Rev D from the S3. If you want turbo noise fit an intake from the likes of Neuspeed; this along with the Rev D DV will give you all the turbo noise you'd ever want.

That along with a stage 1 map will give you the biggest bang for your buck performance wise.

Just check to see if the coilpacks have been replaced under warranty. Otherwise you'll most likely have to replace them.

On the lighting side.......... I am useless and have no idea :( lol.

sorry to sounds daft but whats a Rev d?

No worries mate. When Rev D is mentioned it basically means 'revision' or a part which has been superceded due to issues with the original design.

In this case the DV was uprated from a diaphragm style to a cage piston style for the Audi S3. Mainly due to the S3 running higher boost levels on a larger turbo. The standard DV with a diaphragm would most likely split.

If you're going to remap then a Rev D DV is recommended.
