Tour de France Fabias

Featured Replies

What's the downside in buying one of these when the event is over?

Ones I can think of are left hand drive and the smell of garlic and Gauloises.

Any more ?

The slight irony is that Limited Editions tend to have limited appeal.

Think Jordan Honda Civic, Golf Match et al.

Dealers are known to "sticker up" standard cars and sell as a Limited Edition but unless it's a full manufacturer endorsed model just walk away.

They're not LTD editions, just regular cars used to ferry staff, VIPs and the like around so just the same as normal cars bought from dealers.

BMW did the same thing after London 2012 Olympics, my local BMW dealer had some in as so many were allocated to each participating outlet then sold at special prices.

Mine went to see the tour, it was metres away from the Cote de Greetland and is right hand drive, aaaaaand doesn't smell of garlic (it smells of stripper scent), soon to be up for sale.

I must be blind. I didn't see a single Fabia amongst the 1800 support vehicles that came past me. The bulk of the Skodas were Octavias and Superbs with a few Rapids and a very few Yetis. When they needed a convertible for the caravan it was a Golf.
