Hi, had my clutch and dmf replaced at 120k a few weeks ago since then I have noticed a couple of things and was wondering if normal. Car is 07 1.9 pd TDI bxe engine I think.

Since the work was done when the engine is cold it starts easily and quietly but when up to temp and starting, its tends to rough start with a shake going through the whole car.

Once initial turn over done all is OK. But the worrying thing is sometimes when hot and trying to start it, it doesn't start and cuts out. Always starts after a few goes and once running is fine.

Any ideas?

Morning. My 05, 1.9 BKC engine Octavia with 110,000 miles on it has the same starting issue as yours. I've been told to change the Coolant Temperature Sensor.

Interesting, is it difficult to replace?
