I had a run last week to pick up some materials for a wardrobe I was building at home. It was pouring rain so I left off the roofbars and loaded the 8’X24” sheets into the back. They stuck out by a foot or so and I fastened the tailgate securely.

I was driving along and boy does she sound good when you hold a gear longer, it has a very subtle growl from the back. Nice, very nice.

Tell you one thing, if you get a nice rolling start from first, boy does she fly..whooo hoooo

i should say its a VRS TSI combi

Funnily enough, I find with my vRS TDi that when you put your foot down it sounds like… errrrm… a diesel!

One of the drawbacks of the TDi I think.

Looking forward to when Milltek get the dual box (resonated) system on the market.

The sound generator just doesn't cut it… and to be quite honest, like a few others have stated, I'm not even sure I've got one or if I have, if it's operational, as I can't hear anything other than a high revving diesel engine sound when in 'Sport/vRS' mode!

Never test driven a TSi unfortunately.

Dude may be i will ask something out of topic , but do you mean by this statement that some days the car is better than other , in terms of feel & responsiveness ?

am asking this as i always feelt this with all the cars i had , last of them is my OCTy3 1.4TSI , that some days the car is normally good & a day or 2 the car transforms with no reason to be much more refined & very very responsive to slight throttle press & the engine sound is excellent and also the gear changes are so fast & quit & smooth , then after a day or 2 it returns to normal state & i can't find any reason behind this :)
