Help for the Lazy Required!

Update!  3 hours later.........

Used a quick wax (Meguiar's Gold Class Premium Quik Wax) and while I appeciate it probably wouldn't suit you guys - it was fine for me!  So pleased with the result that I washed "clayed" (clay mitt) and waxed my wife's Honda Jazz as well - and she is pleased too.

WOOOOOAAAAAAHHHHH!!! Clam down there Mr Mph25, you'll do yourself an injury! So much for "Help for the LAZY!!"  :D  :D

Firstly...Well done

Just a couple of things:

  • No polish? There will have been some marring to polish out after the claying...particularly on the Honda (Soft Paint)
  • May I also suggest that If using Megs quick wax, you add another two or three coats as its only a QD and will degrade quickly...

....or use a proper wax..like Megs Gold Class, if you like it and use the existing QD to refresh your wax after your weekly wash

Good advice I am sure about the multi coating.   (why can't I find a Thumbs-up icon?) !  I'll probably do it each time I wash them for the next few weeks.

Marring?  Yes no doubt to your eye but not to mine as I have lower standards. Having read that I just went out for a look and can't find it - and if I have to look for it..................   :notme:

Bearing in mind I was relatively happy with the local Poles at the "hand car wash" ( :sun:) it looks pretty good to my untutored eye. ( In fairnesss to them they did use a snow foam type wash stage but I think the acid they used for the wheels was a bit strong based on the fact the paint fell off!!!)

The Skoda is still in the garage - where I put it when it started to rain just before I waxed it!

Apologies

I was editing as you were answering

If no marring, well done

Yes use the QD again ..after every weekly wash and it will be OK

You will need some proper wax before the winter months

Good luck

Thanks Chris. Help much appreciated. :)

Before winter sets in get yourself some colinite 845 insulater wax. It's one of the best for a lazy person on a tight budget or that just doesn't want to spend much.
