where does this wire go too ? air intake temp sensor feed

Featured Replies

please could someone point me in the right direction

Air intake temp sensor replaced and still have a fault.. so.. next is replace wire from it that sends the feed

iv tracked the power to the sensor and replaced that

but thier are 2 wires left that take feed from it.. i prossume to the ecu under wipers ??

Have you had the connector block off on the ecu yet?, as they can get a little surface corrosion on the pins if the scuttle drains have not been cleared in a while. From memory, I seem to remember a block at the back of the engine as well, but not sure if the sensor is pinned through that though.

It helps if you post in the right forum and give the engine code. If the engine is the BKD, then it is a combined sensor - G31 charge air pressure sensor on pins 3/4 - G42 intake air temp sensor on pins 1/2. The signals pass through a black connector in the loom and a white connector in the plenum chamber.

What is the engine code?

BKC

The BKC is wired the same.

Unless you also have a charge pressure sensor fault, then the fault is on the yellow wire from pin-2 of the combined sensor.

According to my notes...

sensor pin 2 -> black connector pin 7 -> white connector pin 9 -> ECU pin 38. Continuity test only.
