Im trying to get the above part numbered BT module to work correctly with my 2011  VRS. 

 

It will pair, play music, phone calls etc. But whenever i go into the phone module on the MFD using the wiper stalks, it wont let me navigate back to the MFD menu.

 

Any ideas?

 

 

The module iv just taken - 5K0035730D - out to replace with the above new model, this one worked/works fine with the MFD?

That's the same module I've got.

 

The right hand stalk buttons are connected directly to the instruments.

 

I've added the right hand MFSW buttons which connect via the LIN bus to the CECM which then sends the messages via the infotainment CAN bus to the instruments.  It all works fine unless I knock one of the right hand stalk buttons by mistake.  Once I've done this I've got limited options but more than you as it only disables some of the MFSW buttons and some of the right hand stalk buttons but with fiddling I can get to most options. I didn't figure this out for about 3 months after I'd fitted it all as I had no reason to use the stalk buttons when the MFSW ones are easier to use. 

 

I reckon you might have to stump up for a right hand MFSW and DSG up paddle. When a right hand MFSW set is fitted the DSG up paddle has to be connected to it rather than the left hand MFSW and the connector is 3 pin rather than 7 pin so it won't fit.
