Estate false floor

Featured Replies

Has anyone else given up on the false floor idea and just took it out? My boot is always full so I could never use the false bit (can't actually think of a reason why I would mind you) So I took it out to gain the height so I could sling stuff on the top of all my usual crap.

i built a false floorin my octavia to hide audio equipement :)

Dave - I love the false floor in mine, useful for putting CD wallets, VAG-COM cables, umbrellas, steering lock and all those other things you use with the car but dont need all the time.

Having said that my boot rarely has anything other than a dog in it.

First estate I have had with a false floor and I am slowly getting used to it.

I like the way that you can sit it up in the middle and trap small /medium boxes etc against the back seat to stop them moving around. There are times though that I would have preferred the extra depth instead and if you travel loaded a lot then it a pain to get into. I dont carry stuff often so it suits me fine.

Its exactly a wine bottle deep, on our trips to france it always comes back full, probably swallows up about 8 cases, the rest we stack imediately behind the back seat & a couple in the foot wells

I think the main advantage is it removes the lip so heavy items are easier to slid/lift out of the boot. Makes it very easy for the wife to get the pram out.

Also makes for a good place to sit, boot lid open, lags hanging out.

lags hanging out.

I assume the car is black and has a blue flashing light on top..
