No water coming out of my rear washer?!

Featured Replies

Before any smart ass says it 'yes I have water in the washer bottle'.....

Now, my rear motor and wiper works but there is no water coming out the jets, I've cleaned them and re-attached the tube but nothing seems to happen. Is there another access point where the tubes can come apart?

There is a connector/joint behind the cd changer in the boot.

You will need to remove the little grab handle etc and fold the boot carpet out the way once you loosen cd changer and cage.

I'd put money on that's where it's come apart, seem it happen on loads of mk2's including mine.

Not a hard fix really, just a bit time consuming (1hr ish)

I would take the jet off again and try should get a stream of water shoot into the air, sometimes debris collects in the pipe and the pipe blocks again after cleaning.

Check the spare wheel well for water with washer fluid in and feel the carpets on the side panels behind the NSR wheel arch.

Anything there suggests the connector inside is disconnected.

Bizarely it is bound up with the electric cables that run across the NS under the headlining...
