Adjusting MPG on a 2010 FL octavia - How to?

Featured Replies

Please can someone advise me how to adjust the MPG on the OBC for the above vehicle?

Mine is reading approx 2.5mpg high.

Thanks

Are you judging your fuel computer against a brim to brim actual fuel used calculation, if so the computer is not that accurate and the discrepancy you have is quite good.

It's under Instruments in VCDS.

Then adaptation > Known adaptation values and choose fuel consumption correction (could be called something slightly different).

It should be set at 100%. For an over reading dash you increase the percentage. Generally around 2% per 1mpg over. So try 105%.

Cheers guys. Yes I've checked the mpg over the last few months using the brim technique. It's been reading high on every occasion.

I'll give it a go.

Well, I'm plugged in to VCDS, gone to "Select Control Module", 17 - Instruments, Adaptions - 10 and had a good search down the list but there are several options that "could" be for adjustment, nothing obvious. However, whenever I select the options  I get "ERROR - Channel not available"

Hmmmmm. Any suggestions

Should be in channel 3.
