Spider wheels on a monte

Featured Replies

Hi guys, pretty much sorted out buying black spider wheels for my monte, I think they will look good on it, just wondered if anyone else had done this? Want to see how it looks :) probably going to space the rear wheels too. Cheers guys

I'm also considering Octavia mk1 VRS Spider alloys for my Fabia II - I think a member here did have a combi with them fitted, but I can't find any pics.

Hi guys.

I got some 16inch white ones off a guy on this forum, had some new tyres fitted. The idea was that having 16s would give a better ride. Yes it did but I was not happy when I Fitted them to my Monte, but it just didn't look right!! I ended up having the original wheels power coated gloss black (didn't like the "grey colour - sorry I have a problem OCD) with a new set of tyres - now I am happy again with the look (I will have to put up with the ride!).

The white ones have not gone to waste - now fitted on my wife's Roomster. Looks ok now!!

Sorry for bringing this a bit off topic, but I have a question for you. You say you didn't like the grey colour, were the wheels on your Monte not the same colour as the roof? (Black Magic) As I originally had my dads alloys on my old car and the ones that were on my Monte when I bought it were grey compared to those so I automatically assumed they'd been re-painted. But if yours were grey too that may suggest that they left the factory like that.

Some later Monte Carlo got Black Gigaro fitted (Gloss Black) rather than the Off Black (Greyish Black) Trinity.
