Air Intake temp sensor location and serial for AZJ 2.0l petrol?

Featured Replies

HI guys

I was with Gizmo68 today and looking for the location of the air intake temp sensor on my 2.0l petrol AZJ engine and we couldn't locate it.

Does anyone know the location of it and the serial number of the part?  I have seen some integrated with MAP and MAFs. I assume this engine has a separate one somewhere and it fairly cheap to replace.

Thanks

I;m not sure, but I don;t think you have one on your car

That would be strange as we had a fault code for it appear today on the vcds.

Thanks mate.

Nothing on the air box.

The mystery continues!

Some have a built in sensor to the MAF but not sure about this one. I don't think so.

Look at the throttle body. Thought it might be on here. Mystery continues.

Is this the MAP in the 2nd picture?

ah in the Haynes manual (page 4A.9) says all models have the air intake temp sensor built into the MAF except the 1.4l model!! (1.8 has an additional air temp sensor apparently)

Maybe that's why I cannot find it and the aftermarket MAF bought up both fault codes - faulty MAF and air intake temp sensor!

New MAF Bosch should arrive in a day or 2.
