New wheels fitted ! :)

Recommended Posts

I started off with Dare LP560S. They were a nightmare to clean, 4 months later decided I can't stand them any longer.

So I've changed them for some Porsche wheels....

My car needs lowering next but what do you all think? post-115113-14088949815381_thumb.jpg

I like your Porsche wheels but for ease of cleaning it is hard to beat a basic design 5-spoke wheel.

I know what you mean, I like cleaning these though.

I didn't like cleaning my Dare wheels though post-115113-1408902139869_thumb.jpg

Totally agree with 5 spokes being easy to clean...remember 3 spokes?

It seems the higher spec you go, the longer wheels take to clean in general, BBS alloys anyone?

Spend an hour plus with a toothbrush once a week and that's 59 minutes too much for me.

I had to use the toothbrush with my Dares, it would take me an hour and a half.... then the minute it rained the water sat In parts of the alloy and made them dirty again.

So much happier with my Porsche wheels!!

To be honest, In my opinion the more simple wheels (5spokes) look a lot better than the bbs, dares etc.

The Octavia is quite flat-sided and simple, so fussy, complicated designed wheels won't ever look as good as simpler designs, IMO.

My easy to clean 17" winter alloys.  Can clean in a third of the time of the summer 'standard 18" alloys.
