But I came across these which one reviewer said they work in his Audi with no error warnings, anyone tried them?

I would agree with the above.

Cree are far brighter and more reliable.

I have used the 5050 type in the link.

They tend to fail early if any moisture ingress or condensation in my experience.

I have CREE in my DRL's and they are a lot nicer than the standard yellow bulbs.

Found these Cree ones on a German site, would these work without the need of fitting resistors?

I suspect from this comment in your link ""We would recommend that you purchase the Philips CANbus warning canceller for LED lamps to solve this issue.""   that they should have something in their range.

 

I bought some off Ebay that said they were Canbus safe but weren't, but they were cheap, so now use them in the front interior lights instead. Can't be bothered to look for any more as I might be changing the car later this year.

 

You can get some brighter filament bulbs with a blue tinge that should do the job.

Nope none what so ever.

I've chickened out over the CANBUS issues and ordered a set of these to go with the Osram Night Breaker Unlimited which will replace the dipped and high beam.

Anyone has used this for preFL DRL? All the Jetta users on forums seems happy about the light and no errors. I think 1156 bulb type is the same of P13W
