Aux input on Alpine HU

Featured Replies

Morning all, can anyone confirm something for me? I have an alpine CDA 9825 head unit, and I want to connect an MP3 player to it. I believe it has an auxilliary input on this model, but not sure if I need to buy an adaptor that plus in where the CD changer normally would, or it it just has an extra set of phono inputs on the back of the HU. I can't find the manual and I'm not planning on putting it in until I get the MP3 player which won't be for a couple of weeks, just wanted to make sure I can connect it up. Anyone know for sure?

There wasnt a model called CDA 9825 in the UK. A CDM-9825RB perhaps?

If that is the model, then you need a cable that goes in the changer socket, called KCM-122B (Aux-in with two RCA's) or a KCM-MP3 (Aux in with 2.5m cable and a 3.5mm jack plug). Both cost

If its the 9812, you need the KCA-235B. :)

Now I wonder if thats the Atsu I know from Alpine ?!?!?!

PS - I can supply the Aux input leads if you need them

How much does it cost? :)

If you use the KCA-235B this comes with the AI net end on one end, and the other has a 3.55mm gold stereo jack plug and also comes with a 3.55mm to 2.55mm adaptor so that you can use some of the new mobile phones that play MP3s

Sorry but I can't take Paypal, but ring me on either 0208 5901631 or 07970 939792

Got it, fitted it, scratched my head as to why it didn't work, realised I was being stupid and turned the auxillary input on in the setup menu of the HU, works like a charm

Cheers Andy
