Ambient temperature indicator malfunction

Recommended Posts

Ambient temperature indicator on the dashboard of my Octavia is behaving erratic. The temperature displayed is mostly low and gradually goes below zero deg C after some running even with out the air-conditioner being on. The actual ambient temperature is around 25 to 30 deg C. Skoda workshop could not locate the problem after a diagnostic scan. What could be the problem?

Are we talking about the outside air temperature here, not the Climatronic (internal air temperature) display?

Sounds to me like the outside air temperature sensor is faulty, see here...

If the fautly sensor is reading below 4 degree's celcius then the A/C will also stop working.
