I'll need a pair of tyres soon. Was going to try the MAZ1 but seen the MAZ3 is now out.

Tread looks similar to the old RS2s which I used to like.

A pair off eBay is £114 delivered so more a middle of the range price wise.

Is anybody using them / heard good or bad things?

Toyo T1R are on offer on eBay currently 2 @ £107 but having used them on a previous car I found them quite soft and the edges of the tyre wore down quite quickly!

I'm not sure off-hand if  I've got MAZ1 or MAZ3 on the back of my Octy. I'm not impressed with the wet grip compared with the T1R. As to the edge wear question, several of us fitted them to Octys about the same time, and found the answer to that was to run 2 or 3 PSI up on Skoda's recommended pressures.

not seen any reviews for them, but have used Z1's in the past to great effect , very good tyres in my opinion

Be interested to hear what they are like as when the T1R wear out on the back of mine I was going to move the Z1s to the rear axle and get another pair for the front.  Looks like now the Z3 could be a real option.

not available in 215/40/17 ,, or many sporty sizes, seems a more comfort tyre...

MAZ1 it is then!

May go for RS3s, got Parada 2s on the front at the moment. Good in the dry but shocking in the wet!
