Waaaa!

Looks mint all loaded up ready f9r a paht road trip

What went wrong with her??

400 miles on 1 tank? What size tank does this have?

My 2.0l automatic guzzles. :notme:

When I was on holiday in Devon earlier in the year, I got 425 miles to a tank fillup, although I wasn't loaded with as much aero drag as BrownBarge.

If you can be a bit sensible on the loud pedal, it isn't hard to achieve, my friend can get 480 in his, but he never goes over 50 - I would get bored with that fairly quickly

Tank size is the same as your auto I believe..

The auto box is a bit inefficient I believe.

Been travelling a bit on the A38 between Lichfield and Burton and the traffic tends to be fast. 70-85, and a lot of lorries pulling out so I'm pretty heavy on the throttle when overtaking!

Display reads about 34-36 mpg when cruising at 70. Can't I change that to litres?

Not sure if can be done, will check my users manual and VCDS manual tomorrow.

I got 439 this week in mine.

I still had some fuel in the tank i just fuelled up when the light came on.

As for the garage visit, the exhaust snapped in the middle. The backbox was almost touching the floor so while i was cable tieing it up on the co-op carpark in hornsea an old chap told me about a nearby garage who luckily only charged me £10 to weld it up. He did comment that the rest of the exhaust is getting on in age so is likely to be kaput soon.

I took this picture just after it was fixed and i was her friend again

Drove my mk1 vrs to Cannes / Monaco from manchester last month. Clocked up around 2000 miles in just under a Week!

Car performed faultless, apart from an intermittent temp sender switch :(

Was averaging around 420 - 450 miles between fuel ups, and that was with 4 people and the boot rammed with luggage etc
