Hi, I have come to the decision that my egr valve is coming to the end of its days. I have read various post regarding blanking it off. Just wondering if any one has any tips please. It seems pretty straight forward

But then there a few who mention about re-mapping? Which sounds expensive.

Any thoughts, help, ideas much welcomed

This might help. Its for a vw but same engine.

as an '03 you should get away with just blanking the vac pipe unless it's leaking oil then its replace or a "wingnut stealth "job

Just a quickie, do you have to block off the vacuum pipes to the egr valve too?
