DAB Columbus

Featured Replies

My Octavia is a 2010 2.0CR SE with a Bolero. I really miss a decent Sat Nav and would also like DAB, so my question is does anyone know if there is a Columbus with DAB that would fit my Octavia please?

Thanks for looking.

Yes there is.

3T0 035 686 is the part number of Columbus with DAB built in.

There's even a Columbus with DAB & SSD now (item 311072210458 on eBay), although some pictures are of a RNS510 from VW!

The DAB antenna is combined with a roof mounted GPS/GSM/FM antenna available on eBay.de for under £50 (more with Webasto built in as well).

Cables are a few quid from China-RF (also in eBay).

Notice that its from Lithuania - does that mean I would get stung for VAT or import tax?

I didn't when I bought a non-DAB from the same seller.

AFAIK any transactions within the EU are not subject to import duty (but do double check that).

Lithuania is a european country, so no import fees or VAT to pay as you'll already have paid it in the country of origin.

So is there a DAB (or even a digital tv) add on for the Columbus that doesn't already have it?

VAG don't do an external DAB module AFAIK.

I do recall seeing an antenna/amplifier for VW for digital TV reception though (look on eBay).
