Ordered these from Superskoda last weekend (20%Sale) and had the order verified by e/mail and monies taken out of Paypal.Recieved a message from Superskoda on Tuesday that they had reimbursed me as they could not send to a non-EU country.This is the third time I have ordered from them and both of the other products were delivered. It beggers belief that the IOM has a EU protocol with the UK for cross border trading and Superskoda take this stance. The problem is that Skodadop don,t stock them and I will not pay the Skoda price for the OME version of this product.The only way I can see me getting them is to get them posted to a Relative in the UK and get them to send them on to me.

Just as a final thought the last line of my Paypal account is the United Kingdom ( had to be because it does not differeciate to the IOM).

I've contacted SuperSkoda about items I was interested in buying and the replies I have had put me off ordering altogether.  I don't know if something was lost in translations but the replies I had were fairly rude and unhelpful.  It's a shame as they have good stuff on there at decent prices but they failed to confirm what I want to know before ordering (and at one point I had over £300 of stuff in my basket) and didn't give me any confidence that aftersales backup would be any good if there was a problem.

Never ordered from Superskoda until now, but just had delivered in 4 days a set of rubber mats and wheel trims for my winter wheels. All at 20% discount last weekend.

Have purchased from Superskoda 4 times.

3rd time had to contact as had not received goods after 3 weeks, received within days.

Ordered interior lights, received and fitted. Packed up within days (possibly my fault) asked for help, replaced free of charge including postage.

Only moan I have is the postage cost but, hey ho, that's life. If you want it, pay the price.

I will order from them again if there is an item I want.

Might be because manxskoda comes from the Isle Of Man?

Might have just stumbled on a solution to my problem. There is a company called Motor Mods in Cheltenham who sell a far amount of Yeti accessories on their website, so I will give them a ring next week. From the photos on their website the Sill Mouldings are the exact replica of the ones sold at Superskoda.

Just as a footnote to the Superskoda episode I replied to their email quoting all the legal jargon ( Protocol 3 and other legalities regarding EU trading, cross border) so will see how this progresses.

Not a replica of the superskoda ones - they ARE the superskoda ones. They buy from superskoda and sell in the UK - they will fit also.

Just had email back from Motormods, £155 +VAT + Delivery.

Many thanks KennyR for that update.I am in two minds shall I or shall I not, a lot depends on delivery costs to IOM. Even counting all the costs in they are a lot cheaper than the Skoda OME ones ( upwards of £400 I,ve seen on E/Bay).

Just had email back from Motormods, £155 +VAT + Delivery.

 

That's a healthy mark up.... €99inc VAT (approx. £79) becomes £186inc VAT  (over double basically) just for the privilege of buying from a UK company.

It would be cheaper to have someone on here to buy them for you and courier on to you!!

I have got the UK recipient covered, so no problem there. What 137699 is referring to is the massive mark-up between Superskoda and Motormods prices for the same product. You would expect a difference due to shipping costs from Eastern Europe to the UK, but 100% mark-up this day and age is a bit outrageous.

Just got the Cill covers delivered. Decided to bite the bullet when they had a 20% Sale a fortnight ago,I used my Brother in law who lives in the UK as a go between and all though the postage was not exactly cheap, it worked.( 20% discount covered the cost to the UK, and got Student rate from Carrier to ship from UK to IOM £25.Royal Mail would not handle it as package was too big)

Now waiting for decent weather to complete job, as I will do it as I did the Wheel-arch covers and use a similar method. Not keen on using 3M double sided tape and will use Tiger seal type product to attach them to the Cills.
