Indicators randomly flashing

Hi, im wondering if anyone can help with my problem because I really have no idea why its happening, my indicators randomly flash on a night sometimes, its like when you lock the car with the keyfob the indicators flash twice fast, but it can be the middle of the night and they will flash on/off eight times. Ive tryed unlocking and locking the car with the fob but they only ever flash twice, can anyone point me in the right direction as to why they might be doing this? Thanks in advance
