How to replace Yeti 2014 mirror puddle lights

Featured Replies

Hi wondering if someone can give a bit of a guide to doing this. Have looked about but struggled to see anything specific to the Yeti. Am just swapping most of the lights with LEDs which is going fine just not sure of how exactly to replace the mirror puddle lights. I did see an Octavia guide which shows access by removing the front mirror itself so I removed this whilst crossing my toes not to break it which I didn't but next it no space to get your fingers in.

Use trim removal tools to remove the glass

Hi, yeah I did remove the glass but no room to get your fingers in and remove the bulb from its fitting?

Thank you for the link....looked about for a 'how to' to avoid looking useless..... Oh well , thanks again.

The bulbs/holders are tricky to get out and back in but it is possible once (just the) mirror lens has been removed.

I looked at doing it without removing the top and bottom covers but I was changing the top covers anyway and I reckon it's a 50/50 thing whether it's easier/quicker removing the bits first or doing the key hole surgery bit.
