could someone please tell me the oil type and quantity required for my 2007 vrs 6 speed manual ?

 

I changed mine a few months ago,best to use genuine oil,part number is:- G052171A2 & you will need to buy 3 litres as the gearbox takes approx 2.3 litres. 

The oil level is higher than the filler hole so you need to fill it with a 10mm hosee through the reverse sensor hole or park nose upward on a steep slope.

For those of you with a 1.8tsi or 2.0FSI (non-turbo) fill is only 1.9L.

No its not.........wasnt on mine anyway,i measured the quantity i drained out & put the same back in & it just started to run out of the level/filler hole.

I will do thanks because that link you posted isnt the gearbox fitted to my car.
