Couple of warning lights? what...

Featured Replies

... Just wondering.

Despite wiring up all the plugs to all the brakes (correctly), the ABS light is still on, on the dash? Any thoughts? Hope its not down to the brake controller?

Also there's a light which is a circle within a triangle. not sure on that one either. Neither of these appear to be affecting the drive in any way. Just wondering what they mean.

A run of the fault codes on vag com might bring up some interesting insights, but thought I'd see what Briskoda could tell me first. Also, does the flashing red !! handbrake light mean anything too? :)

Triangle-in-Circle is ASR deactivated.

You've got vRS brakes and vRS ECU - have you got a vRS ABS controller? If not, could be some fancy footwork is needed with Vag-Com on the ABS. (which I always leave well alone when using Vag-Com.) However, the Ross-Tech site has some relevant ABS procedures, I think.

Dunno about the handbrake light unless it's an intermittant connection. Is it a regular flashing? I didn't know the handbrake warning is multi-functional but it may be.

All sounds brake related to me, check the fault codes in 03 - Brake electronics.

I haven't changed any controllers to vRS spec? The wiring plugged in OK to the existing controller.

Do you think I need to swap that little box of tricks that all the brake pipes bolt into? :(
