Hi there hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

 

I looking to replace the Glow Plug Control module on my 2005 Octy 2.0 TDI PD. I have read some articles on here of where I might find it and it looks like it's under the E box in the engine compartment.

 

Now I have removed the battery and slid out the batter cover from the front. I can see and the E box another little box that has two slots at the top perhaps these are the clip holes of where it should unclip it.

 

My question  is this what I'm looking for and how do I unclip the damn thing to slide out? Also it does look like the battery tray is still in the way so perhaps  this needs to be removed first?

Ok I have found this on the workshop manuals website and it looks like I have the version 2 glow plug control unit:

 

 

 

It does look like I have purchased the incorrect control unit now.

Looks like now I will have to get one of those 03G907282  anyone got a spare one going?
