subwoofer question

Featured Replies

Having a monte 1.2 tsi, 105, 2011 with stock radio.

Can I connect a subwoffer to it?

Advice please.

You can, via a high level output. Its not ideal though.

What are you thinking? Just adding a sub? Or upgrading all speakers?

So can go whole hog if needed

Ah right.

Well to answer your question, no it doesnt have a sub output, however you can use a high level connection. This is what others have done.

Please explain 'high level output'? And where are the outputs?

Thanks

Iv found a page to explain it better than me.

Ideally youd connect an amp to a 'pre out' this is an output which isnt already amplified by the radio itself.

We havent got this on the standard radio so we have to use an amp that is compatible with a 'high level output'. This is an output that is already amplified by the radio.
