Tips for a relative Newbie

Featured Replies

Firstly a thank you for the info I have leeched from this section of the site directly or indirectly over the past two months, its been said before but this section has been much more accessible then diving straight into Detailing World or similar.

Secondly there was promoting something or other on facebook that was quite rightly removed from existence by a mod, but to a newbie like me it actually sounded like a decent idea for a thread, (or could well fall flat on its a**e, dont worry I wont take it personally :) ).

In your time detailing you will likely have picked up little gems of knowledge, especially those that wouldn't necessarily be included in a guide or howto video then please post then here.  Even better if they seem blindingly obvious now, but not when you started.

For example, if you are a shortarse like me not blessed with great height, opening the doors can give some extra reach when polishing or claying the roof (that one is courtesy of ChrisRS from my visit)

Quit now before the addiction sets in and it has all your money

Make sure you clean your foam lance after use or you end up buying 2 in six months..
