Hi all,

I'm kinda new around here and have been having a good look around but haven't found and answer to this. I've bought some gloss black vinyl to cover the chrome on the grill of my mk2 pre-fl VRS estate but my other grilles have faded a bit and are more grey than black. I've bought some Halfords Vinyl spray paint (plastidip alternative) will this be the best bet or should I use normal paint? Has anyone tackled this before?

Hi Stu and welcome

do a search as this has been covered quite a lot but if memory serves me plasti dip seems to be the way forward of you want it black ,personally I prefare the body colour, option plenty of pics in the "are you doing it right" thread"
