amundsen+ iPod connection what's needed?

Featured Replies

Ok just fitted my new amundsen+ Head unit and well impressed but missing the iPod action :(

What's needed to make this possible?

Is it just a case of the loom and then the MDI lead?

Any input would be great :)

Think u need a MDI port then a mdi cable!

There was a group buy a while back for the mdi cable ...

No modual or anything?

As the looms are like £44 and then the little cables £10 that sound about right?

Sorry mate - i only going by what i had in my last car.

That was a mdi port inside the centre arm rest - and a mdi cable with a usb socket on other end.

Am sure more knowledgeable members will chip in!

No dramas :)

Well I did have the aux port in the arm rest for the old steam head unit which worked fine!

But the new one the aux ports in the front and the arm rest one doesn't work now :(

When u say it dont work - wot happens?

I mean my bluetooth didnt work - coz it only work with older phones.

And i couldnt get my iPhone to work on the MDI neither :-(

But i didnt care as i just copy mp3s onto SD card of Columbus HDD :-)

There is a module for the mdi. The module loom and leads can be had for about £100. They sometimes pop up in the classifieds here.
