Hi guys any issues with fitting a balero from a 2012 into a 2006 octy to replace a stream head unit. Will i need a new fascia?

You will probably need a new CAN gateway to avoid battery drain problems. Also the climate display and reversing sensor display (if fitted) won't work anymore.

Standard aircon.no climate so no problem there. Is there a way to tell whether it will need a different can gateway?

I think it needs to be revision K or later, but I have a very late 2006 car and it has an earlier gateway.

I've got a 2006 Octavia and had to change the CAN gateway when I fitted a bolero to mine. As Trundlenut has said think it needs to K or later.
