My MDI is not playing my iphone 5c, but does charge it

 

Do i need another cable or so?

What cable are you using, if its the standard USB cable its charging only. You need to get an MDI to lightning adapter, or an MDI to standard iPod lead and then the Apple converter.

I was using the standard usb lead, I have an iphone 4 lead which obviously does not fit.

I will look into apple converter

if you have the iPhone 4 MDI lead, just get the apple converter, connect the iPhone 5 into one end and the iPhone 4 cable into the other.

try and avoid the copies, they may not work.
