Hi,

Can anyone tell, or better show with some pics, how to remove the rear headlining and the plastic surround so you can get to the roof aerial.

Thanks

Basically, it's just a firm tug to pull the spring clips out. A flat screwdriver or carpet fitter's tack lifter may help. I think there are 6 clips, some of which fit the slots shown in the pic below.

You'll need an adjustable spanner for the aerial nut - it's huge. Oh, and probably 3 hands on the job as well.

Thanks bryand!!

This place never fails to amaze me at how fast and helpful the advice is!!

Oh to be a member of a good group!

IIRC the nut is 22 or 24mm.

Be carefull if you have to tweek down the headlinging as it creases very easily.

Why are you taking the aerial out if I may ask?

Looking to swap the aerial, catches on the garage up and over door every day maked reversing out a right pain. Its a tight fit now, must have been built for mini's (original and still the best) I think.

What are you swapping it for?

Just swap the mast.

Thought I would swap it for one of those Shark fin type, the type that are so popular on this forum ....it will go with the baseball cap and furry dice..

cool dont you think?
