new black edition 140 4x4, spare wheel questions

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I recently traded in my 2011 octavia scout for the above yeti, having kept the spare wheel and toolkit we purchased at the time of buying the scout, the new yeti has no spare and I was wondering if the scout wheel would be suitable for the yeti, thanks

If you ordered a spare for the Yeti you'd get a 16" steel wheel with a 195/60/16 tyre.  The Yeti does not have a spare wheel well, so you will need the kit of polystyrene pieces, spare wheel retaining plastic thingy and new raised boot carpet to do a proper job of it.  That will leave you with a flat floor level with the boot opening.

Alternatively, I once saw a Yeti with a spare wheel that the owner had mounted vertically in the boot and made space for it by cutting a rectangular hole on the parcel shelf for it to stick out through!!!!!!!

Will have a look cheers, tyre size is a 205 55 16,on octavia spare so it may be to big for yeti anyhow? I originally thought it was smaller!

I had a look at my 'spacesaver' this evening, details as follows:

Rim: 6Jx16H2 ET50

Tyre: Conti 195/60 R16 89H

Speed rating H. Doh! You won't be able to drive at more than 130mph in the snow then?

Eh, your restricted to 50MPH when the SPARE is fitted.
