Initial indications (on my bonnet) are very favourable and appear to back up the positive comments Ive read about it

Its given some more bling to the existing finish and a slick feel to the paintwork

I also intend to use it as a more cost effective Clay lubricant

Further information will be given as I use it on our cars and other vehicles

Here is what Automart say about it:

WAX Detail Spray is our new high end, carnauba enriched QD spray. It cleans and refreshes the surface without affecting the finish underneath.

Uses:
  • A finishing spray to put the final shine on a freshly detailed vehicle
  • To remove fingerprints, dust, blemishes, product residue and splatter without dulling the surface underneath
  • To lubricate clay cloths or clay bar to remove fallout and overspray or to prepare the surface for polishing
  • As a quick light-duty “polish” for new or recently polished paintwork
  • A light duty cleaner to remove surface dirt and grime and bring back that just polished shine between washes.
  • To clean and dress high quality interiors where a natural finish is desirable.
  • As a light duty glass cleaner
  • As part of the final inspection process – to remove polish swirls, smears and dressing overspray etc

It is silicone and solvent free, making it perfect for bodyshops.

WAX Detail Spray comes in 5 litres and will replace Reglaze. Available now from Autosmart franchisees.

Sounds very interesting chris, not to sure about it being used on interiors though.

I'll keep an eye on this thread.

How much did your rep charge you for 5L?

I dont have a rep

eBay

Fair enough. Probably would have been cheaper from your local rep.

Conflicting reports on this.  I get the impression it really depends on who you get as your rep.

Rep or no rep..that really wasn't the reason for posting this thread

I used eBay and was happy with that and the service

If you can get it cheaper, good luck

All I will say...Its a damned good QD and will last a long time whoever you buy it from

I wasn't having a go Chris, please don't feel that was the case.

As Sparkly said, it differs from rep to rep, I just wanted to know if you bought it from them, and how much it cost because I value your opinion when it comes to detailing products. I only suggested it may be cheaper as something you could look into.

Apologies but with recent comments in the Detailing Section, Im rather sensitive

I can have a look at suppliers but will only Google it like others will do

My experience with Autosmart products is limited

Not a problem, I like you used to buy their products from ebay, but after a conversation with their rep Sue on DW she passed me the details of my local rep, who came to see me in his van full of products. He was very friendly and came to my house at a time to suit me.

She stated to me that autosmart do not sell on eBay and it is people de-canting in to spray bottles and making a large profit.

Hope this helps.

Well I can assure you ..mine is a genuine unopened 5 litre container

Not decanted

But perhaps she would say that ...LOL

Sue is great, yes unfortunately lots of fakes on eBay, even down to fake bottles etc. hopefully ChrisrS has got someone who has bought genuine AS stuff & posted them on the bay.

Also bought a 5L bottle of this of eBay, only just received it today so haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I got it to use it as a drying aid/ quick detailer, as I use so much of the stuff I thought I would give it a go at £20 for 5L.

Come on guys, I know there have been a lot of ebay fakes but usually decanted into non-sealed containers.  Autosmart as a commercial business are a bit shady on this for me.

Autosmart use the party political line of "not selling to ebay sellers" - fine, maybe not direct but the reps who are basically the detailing version of Avon ladies and have to sell to make a living will shift the kit on to everyone and anyone.

If they have an ebay seller that is giving them good business they won't turn it down.  I know a few sellers that are based in the area and they have literally sold thousands of 5 litre bottles and have 99% approval ratings on ebay.

The beauty of ebay iss fair competition and transparent pricing, something that Autosmarts reps certainly don't seem to offer small quantity users.  AS don't publish RRP's and just let the reps set their pricing based on the profit they want to make, plenty of accounts online of how unscrupulous they can be/equally plenty are genuine decent people also.

I've bought AS off ebay before Chris and especially in the sealed 5l I think there is little issue if the ebay seller is prolific and the price seems correct.  I think the bottles even carry a batch number that you can check with Autosmart.

Tried using this as 'drying aid' and pleased with the results

Spray on neat to a wetcar, then dry as normal

Works a treat!!

Think I'll go for this then! Thanks Chris
