steering clunk

Featured Replies

hi all....I had an annoying knocking noise but only at slow speed a while back so replaced almost every suspension component at the front of the car....it was all good until a couple of weeks ago when the slight knock only at slows speeds came back!!!!! GRRRRRRRR!!!!!   whilst investigating I saw my driver side spring had come out of the mount and was knocking so had it pushed back in but knocking is still there and is now felt if you turn the wheel lock to lock??? any ideas guys as this is doing my head in!!!! I just want my car to feel solid like it used to and thought treating it to new bushes, rods, links etc would do this??

Cheers in advance  :nerd:

had a similar issue a few months back as the front spring wasn't sitting squarely on the top mount and had to get some spring compressors on the springs to compress them re-seated properly.

It has been fine ever since as I was going to buy a new spring if it didn't work, although you may want to check the spring thoroughly to see it is not broken as a broken spring will cause similar symptoms.
