Electronic woes - anyone with AVIC ?

Featured Replies

Firstly, dunno if anyone has used dabonwheels but they sent me an ICS100 unit, its turned out to be D.O.A, not too impressed so far

(well actually it did spark up once, but only once, more a fluke than anything it seems!). Looks like they have sent me a faulty unit.

Secondly whilst I was doing preliminary checks connected to the stereo unit, I was struggling to get AVIC unit's AV1 to get any sound, at all though that input, making me wonder if I have a fault there ?

The AV2 is okay, but the AV1 I haven't had any sound for. Went into Pioneer menus and cycled through all the AV options, video, no joy ?

My only thoughts are that the Pioneer and AV1 are dependant on video before it will receive audio, or is this clutching at straws ?

I need to work this out because if I switch for another unit (that uses video) then I'm gonna want to use the video input as opposed to this (P.O.S) unit that has its own video display (that appears to hardly ever work)

So I wonder if anyone uses AVIC unit with AV1 inputs at all please ?

Thanks for the help, it was my bad as all the wires were the same colour red/white and for some reason ( which I guess makes some sense) the ones I can access without removing the stereo were subwoofer OUT not A/V in.

Av and video in working perfectly.

Acoustic solution ICS100 seems bit crap, gonna try something better anyway
