I'm in the process of buying an octavia vrs fsi.mthe car comes with Columbus sat nav. There seems to be various versions of this so I have a few questions

Does this system work with mobile phones ie calls

Can you stream music from Bluetooth devices

Does it have a hdd

Is the maps on disc or hdd and can/how are they updated.

Columbus does NOT automatically mean your car has Bluetooth - many people went for the nav option but no Bluetooth and if the Columbus is a "dodgy" post-purchase addition almost certainly wont.

If Bluetooth is there, yes.

Yes, HDD installed. Relatively low capacity, but plenty of space for many, many albums.

Maps can be run from the disk, but the option is there and should be taken to have them installed into the HDD. Updates via a DVD, tend to be released 6-12 monthly. Not the cheapest to update, circa £50 - £75 from the dealers.
