Hi, first post so please be gentle!

My husband is away with our vrs 2.0tdi, and called earlier to say the cars having electrical problems. Car starts but he has no lights on the dash, glow plug lights etc don't light up. Speedo, rev counter, temp gauge, fuel gauge don't work either. The trip computer seems to work, he drove 3 miles on his work estate and it recorded that ok, but the temp on the computer is showing -14 and it's not that cold! Any suggestions?

Check all fuses first.
