Cruise control help

So Ive managed to install my cruise control kit to my 1.9 sdi and activated it using vcds, thought everything was going great until I went to test it and found that it didnt work. Went back on vcds to check for faults and got this :17977 - Cruise Control Switch (E45): Implausible Signal P1569 - 35-00

Had a look on here on another forum which had the same code and someone suggested to do measure block values to make sure that it was all working, I did that and all the signals from the stalk and brake and clutch pedals are working fine. 

The forum that had this problem thought it could be the wrong ecu wire they spliced into which I think could be my problem too, I took the ecu pin out and soldered the white wire from the cruise control loom to pin 14 which is supposed to be the correct one for diesels. Anyone know if this is the right pin or not or what I have done wrong, cheers.
