hybrid on stage 2?

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Looking at getting a hybrid as my current ko3s is making the dreaded dentist drill sound and I prefer to update rather than fitting a standard.

But funds won't allow to get the car mapped straight away.

The car is currently stage 2 spiking at around 21-22 psi and settling off at around 18psi.

Would a hybrid run ok on this setup until I can get the map changed? Or would it run too lean?

Thank you

Can't comment on the tuning side but for turbo get a price off Xman, may save you enough money in order to get map updated at same time.

You'll need to get it mapped mate, the hybrid will need bigger injectors that will need to be scaled in the ecu. The std injectors won't flow enough fuel compared to the larger amount of air flow the hybrid will create!

You'll also need a bigger maf housing which will throw the calculations out even more!

Best bet is to do it all at the same time....or don't do it at all!
