Duel zone issues

Featured Replies

Morning all

Just driven to work and my previously fully functioning dual zone heating system in my '07 VRS Tdi PD 170 has decided to throw a wobbly today.

Switched it on by pressing the windscreen button to clear the windscreen this morning and it went to half power on the blower which didn't do much so i switched it to full power to get the job done.

I then noticed that adjusting the temperature  would adjust the drivers side of the duel zone instead of both moving up and down in sync,

Is there a way to re sync the two or do i have a fault?

Thanks in advance

Phil

My 2012 car occasional switches from 'sync'd' temperature mode to 'dual' mode all by itself.  Pressing the 'dual' button to cancel that mode reverts the cc to 'sync'd' mode.  You have tried that?

On mine, once you adjust the passenger side, you have to set them both the same and restart the car to get them synced again. Seems a bit half engineered to me.

Oh and it Dual

Thanks for the replied :-)

Its the pre facelift model so haven't got a dual button sadly just 3 dials one with left hand temp and the screen buttons, fan speed in the centre and the right hand temp and auto/econ on the right.

Will try setting the temps equal and re starting after work see if that works.

If you press and hold the AUTO button it synchronises both sides at the default 22C.

If you press and hold the AUTO button it synchronises both sides at the default 22C.

Aah! ill try that on mine!
