WAX APPEAL - LUSH Microfibre.

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Some exciting developments.

With the packaging finally en-route for GB's #2 and #3 I can announce a new development.

Wax Appeal will be launching a new range called "Lush" Microfibre Cloths.

LUSH!

The whole range I am proud to say is from a U.K Manufacturer, high quality detailing grade microfibre with a 300gsm Premium Cloth Range and a "Lush Luxury" range of 500GSM dual sided cloths. All cloths have an ultra soft 70/30 Polyester - Polyamide Mix, far superior to the cheaper 80/20 or 75/25 mixes which make up the majority of cloths available.

I have personally had some of these on a long term trial before offering them out to you lovely people, these are ultra soft premium cloths, but also extremely rugged quality construction and will just wash and re-wash with no degradation provided proper care is shown.

First stock will be arriving next week and will be sold as a package bundle with samples of each cloth type (Lush Luxury Buffing Cloth, Lush Luxury Drying Towel, Lush Premium General Use Cloths, Lush Premium Interior Cleaning/Dusting Mitt) - keep your eyes open, there will only be ten available on the preview bundles.

Soon to be available in a range of colours too so you can colour code to your jobs (or car :giggle: )

Nice idea and something that I will look into.

But I am conscious of unnecessary increases to cost too, these are luxury cloths but I am not sure they merit having the same level of packaging as a Mitchell and King Wax :)

Sounds good to me. I'm looking at different cloths at the moment. Will keep my eyes peeled for this.

Will there be opportunity to buy more later if we like them?

Still keen on seeing what GB #2 is (especially as we haven't sorted out GB #1 yet).

Hey Karl,

I'm happy to break the silence on this with pacakging inbound (maybe the info will go viral :giggle: )

GB#2 wheels edition will be:

a 100ml sample of Autobrite's Excellent Very Cherry Non-Acid wheel Cleaner (dilutes 5-1 for mid-heavy soiled wheels to make a full 500ml of wheel cleaner, effective at 10-1 for lightly soiled so potentially a litre of wheel cleaner)

and

a 100ml Sample of Wolf's De-Ironizer Decon Gel (awesome fallout remover with a twist)

"Cleaning wheels can be a chore, particularly after rather spirited driving. Or if you happen to own a car that produces excessive brake dust (e.g. a BMW or a Mini, or anything fitted with aftermarket brake pads). Of course, acid-based wheel cleaners are widely available and usually make short work of stubborn brake dust, but at a price. And that price is often an expensive refurbishment bill a year or so down the line when the acid eventually eats through the clearcoat protecting your rims. What's really needed then, is a product with the cleaning power of a strong acid, but without any of the inherent risks...

Step forward Wolf's Chemicals Decon Gel: a revolutionary iron-dissolving gel that is going to change the way we detail forever. Using it makes cleaning wheels a breeze, because it requires little agitation, and you can let it dry out fully if you wish before rinsing it off. What's more, its powerful formula also means you can use it in place of detailing clay to safely remove railway dust and iron-rich industrial fallout from your exterior bodywork and glass. And because it works in a touchless way, there is far less chance of you causing fresh marring, making the decontamination process safer."

GB will be up very soon, call this a spoiler ;)

Sign me up for that one please.

Just throw the lot in one box for me GB 2/3 and above, save on postage! haha

I could do with some microfibres

Great stuff Mark - nice to see this launch!

The 500gsm samples are getting regular use here and great for QD application and buff.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the range progress....

Great stuff!

Btw - the blue 500gsm samples went through the wash and tumble dry cycle again this weekend.

I would agree that they get better after a couple of washes - very happy with them

Yep, much much better after first wash or two.

One piece of advice though and i don't know if you suffered this, they need to be washed on their own first couple of times as they bleed colour a bit.  probably partly because they are that strong Royal Blue.

I have a few interesting looking applicators now because of this.  My white and red german applicator is now blue and purple and a yellow drying cloth looks a little green.

May have had a little colour bleed on the first wash but nothing too bad if i'm honest.

I washed them with my Wooly Mammoth and Purple Monsters; so didnt really show up first time.

2nd time may explain why the standard yellow MF's looked a bit dull.  :giggle:
