Parking sensor control box

Featured Replies

I had a small shunt last week and a parking sensor was smashed. There was a loud beep on selecting reverse, but the sensors were not working. I replaced the smashed sensor (£14), but the problem remains. There are no VAG code errors. I guess the control box somehow failed as well, although the shunt did not physically affect it (It is behind the nearside light cluster). Can anyone conform this before I shell out on a new one?

After a few days driving, the reversing sensors have just started working. Whether it was a loose connection or some inadvertent reset of the control box, at least it seems I do not have to replace the control box (£112 new, £40 second hand)
