Hi there, could any one advise me on a problem I have just had with my 2005 octavia estate 2.0 tdi 140 bhp 6 speed dsg auto I haven't had the car that long and it has been driving great but just on my way home I planted my foot on the go fast peddle and it kicked down and set of has it should do but when it got upto around 60 or so it was if it went into limp mode I.e no power no kick down no turbo just the revs biulding up very slowly I ended up pulling over and turning the engine off started it again and off I went booted it and it set off like stink then the same thing happens again at this time I was only round the corner from home so whent home turnd it of again for around a minute or so and took it back out planted my foot again and it was pulling like a train as usual I could only get it up to about 70 mph but everything seems to be ok no warning lights came on so I was hopeing someone on here could shed some light on the problem for me ? I am a bit concerned has I have got a pretty big trip coming up soon and I need the car to be right i would be greatfull for any help or advice cheers kev.

Best place to start would be to get it scanned for faulty codes using VCDS.

I have a problem there 1 I don't know what a vcds is and 2 I havnt got one lol

If there was no fault light would there still be a code ?

Thanks kev.

VCDS is a VW group diagnostic tool which emulates the dealers tools. Available to buy or find someone local to you who has it and will help for beer money. There will still be codes stored even if there was no dash warning light (usually).
